Micro Cilia DIY

 

If you have a difficult time printing the regular spice rack. This is an alternate simpler design which may be printed as an alternative.

In your Package you should find:

    • 2 M4 heat set insert

    • 1 1/4-20 heat set insert

    • 3 magnets

    • 3 tinner rivets

  • Hinge bag

    • 2 M3 threaded insert

    • 2 M3 thumb screws

  • Straps bag

    • 1 long straps

    • 2 short straps

  • Buckles bag

    • 2 buckle sets

    • 6 tri glide slides

  • Scents

  • USB cable

Tools Needed

  • Soldering Iron

  • Heat Set Insert Tips (M4, M3, M2, 1/4-20)

  • Phillips Screw Driver

  • Flat Head Screw Driver

  • 3D Printer

  • Super Glue

  • Pliers (Optional)

3D Printing

  1. Dowload all Files above.

  2. 3D print above files with PETG. Recommended Print Settings:

    • 240°C HotEnd

    • 70-80°C Bed

    • Recommended to use a 0.4mm nozzle

    • 0.2 mm layer height.

    • 4 outer shells

    • 20 % infill.

    • Tree supports for the main body

    • Regular supports with a 45 degree overhang angle touching build plate for Spice Rack

PCB Fasteners and PCB

  1. Melt two M3 Brass Inserts from “PCB Fasteners” bag into main body (Figure 1).

  2. Insert PCB from “PCB” bag over the two Brass inserts (Figure 2).

  3. Place two red paper washers onto two M3 Screws (Figure 3).

  4. Screw two M3 Screws through PCB into brass inserts (Figure 4).

  5. Hold onto Jumper for programming PCB.

Figure 7 - Screw fans in place with 16 M2x12mm screws. Make sure the thread wire through opening into the PCB compartment.

Fan Fasteners and Fans

  1. Melt 16 M2 Brass Inserts from “Fan Fasteners” bag into main body (Figure 5).

  2. Insert Fans from “Fans” bag over the M2 Brass Inserts (Figure 6).

  3. Screw fans in place with 16 M2x12mm screws. Make sure the thread wire through opening into the PCB compartment (Figure 7).

  4. Plug Fans into PCB (Figure 8).

Harness

  1. Melt two M4 and one 1/4-20 heat set inserts from “Harness” bag into harness part (Figure 9).

Spice Rack

  1. Melt 3 Tinner Rivets from “Spice Rack” bag into spice rack (Figure 10).

  2. Super Glue Magnets into main body (Figure 11).

  3. Magnetize Cartridge to main body (Figure 12).

  1. Melt two M3 threaded inserts from “Hinge” bag into main body (Figure 13).

  2. Plug in USB-C cable (Figure 14).

  3. Screw M3 thumb screws through harness, main body, and front cover (Figure 15).

  1. Connect Straps to harness with Buckles and Tri-Glide Slides as shown in Figure 16-20.
